My name is Matt Hassan and I have a B.S. in Broadcast and Digital Journalism from Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications. I’m from Port Washington, NY on Long Island. I am now working as an Associate Producer on Fox Business' show "Cavuto: Coast to Coast." I aspire to executive produce a show on a national news network one day. 

 

Growing up in the shadow of New York City, I’ve always been aware of the power of broadcast journalism. Since I was little, I’ve been fascinated by how information is dug up, managed, and can change lives. Although I’ve worked with multiple different mediums, I'm especially interested in broadcast.  I'm captivated by the way broadcast infiltrates people’s homes and allows everyone to track information in real time. I’ve had experience reporting and anchoring, but producing is where my passion lies. I enjoy figuring out the puzzle of a rundown and how to prioritize different stories or pieces of news. As a creative person, producing always presents new challenges - not just in the composition of the stories, but also in the manner in which they're delivered.
