Resume
Experience
Production Assistant
Fox Business TV
May 2023 - Present
I work on Neil Cavuto's daily show on Fox Business "Cavuto: Coast to Coast." I pitch stories, do research, and coordinate reporter hits. I'm responsible for all the video played in the show. I also produce segments, which entails making full screens, graphics, lower thirds, and stock boards. I often produce reporter hits where I reach out to the talent and put together the elements they want: video, graphics, sound bites. Lastly, I contribute to the team's social media page and track the minutes of the show we use to analyze ratings.
College Associate
Fox News TV
June 2022 - April 2023
I worked primarily on Neil Cavuto's Saturday morning show "Cavuto Live!" but I also contributed to his daily show "Your World." This involved cutting VO packages, NATVOs, and SOTs. I also made full screens, charts, and other graphics for the show. During live hits, I put the elements reporters want into the rundown. The day before the show, I put together a bunch of research packets for the anchor to prepare with.
College Associate
Fox News Radio
June 2021 - May 2022
I worked on Fox News' 500 AM, FM, and Sirius XM Satellite stations that broadcast around the United States. I really developed my writing skills as I was tasked with writing anchor intros and tags. I also listened to raw press conferences and interviews on Fox News Channel and used my news judgement to pick out the best soundbites. Then, I'd edit them to go on air and write around them to be put into our newscast.
Reporter/Producer
WAER (NPR Affiliate)
I started working at WAER in August 2019 as a web editor, but started doing more reporting and producing in January 2020. Since then, I've been creating radio wraps and cut/copys on a weekly basis. This involves pitching stories, finding sources, conducting interviews, picking soundbites, writing the story, recording my voice, editing audio, and converting it into a web story after it's aired.
January 2020 - May 2023
TV Reporter/Producer
NCC News
January 2021 - April 2023
I started at NCC News at the beginning of 2021 as a television reporter and began producing 30 minute newscasts in August 2022. As a reporter, I'd pitch stories, find sources, conduct on-camera interviews, execute stand ups and live hits, pick soundbites, write the script, edit videos together, and then voice the package. While producing, I picked which stories would be in our show and held morning pitch-meetings and afternoon meetings with the technical director. I'd assign tasks to videographers and other producers while managing reporters throughout the day. I presented stories in creative and digestible ways and developed my newsroom leadership skills in this role.
Sports Reporter
The Daily Orange
March 2021 - May 2023
I've been a sports beat reporter for the Daily Orange (a student-run newspaper) for nearly two years. In this position, I attended post-game press conferences, pitched stories, organized/conducted interviews, and wrote game stories and feature pieces. I've mainly written about Syracuse University's Volleyball, Softball, Women's Soccer, and Women's Lacrosse teams. This has helped me improve as a sports and online/print journalist.
